Eric Mabius, a popular American actor, took birth in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in the family of Elizabeth and Craig Mabius. He’s of Catholic, Irish, Austrian and Polish descent. His brother is named Craig. Eric attended Amherst Regional High School in Amherst, Massachusetts and became the Most Dramatic Boy as a senior. He next joined Sarah Lawrence College and started studying films.
Eric made his acting debut in 1995 by appearing in the indie film ‘Welcome to the Dollhouse’. In 1996, he was seen in ‘I Shot Andy Warhol’. Eric also played Alex Corvis on ‘The Crow: Salvation’. In ‘Cruel Intentions’, he was seen alongside Ryan Phillipe. One of his biggest and most loved performances is on ‘Resident Evil’, where he portrayed the character of an activist Matt Addison. In the first season of ‘The L Word’, he appeared as a regular cast member. In the second and third season of series, he appeared in one episode per season. On ‘CSI: Miami’, Eric made a guest appearance. He joined the hit ABC dramedy ‘Ugly Betty’ in 2006 and portrays the part of a fashion magazine editor. His performance on ‘Ugly Betty’ made him to be named as one of the sexiest men alive by People Magazine.
He also has made appearance on a Lifetime movie ‘A Christmas Wedding’. In 2007, Eric was nominated for Screen Actors Guild Awards in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Cast in the Comedy Series. In 2008, Eric was nominated for PRISM Awards in the category of Outstanding Individual Achievement in Comedy. In the same year, he received a nomination for Screen Actors Guild Awards in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Casts in a Comedy Series.
In January 2006, Eric Mabius married Ivy Sherman and has two sons with her, namely Maxwell Elliot and Rylan Jaxson, born on June 15, 2006 and December 7, 2008 respectively.

Eric Mabius portrays the character of Daniel Meade on ‘Ugly Betty‘. He’s magazine publisher Bradford Meade’s son and gets opportunity to become editor-in-chief at MODE, a fashion magazine. Among his other family members are Claire Meade, his mother; Alexis Meade, his sister and Daniel Meade, Jr., his nephew.
