Sources have revealed that the location will find its place in the upcoming episodes of Ugly Betty. Oh god, any of the reasons may be there for their outing. The thing is that had I been in their place, I would’ve enjoyed the trip to its fullest! The cool waters, the silky soft dolphins to swim along and what more one desires if some eye warmers are present in those waters too! I am talking about the sexy and gorgeous Ana who appeared like a mermaid in her swim suit along with Mark in the resort.

The negotiations going on between Paula Abdul and ABC have fallen apart. Now “3rd Rock” Emmy winner Kristen Johnston has been finalized by creators of Ugly Betty to play the now-recurring role of Helen, Mode’s newest office temp and Amanda’s elder doppelganger.

The negotiations looked promising enough till last week when the deal came undone. Of all the reasons responsible for this slip through, it’s partly, due to the ex-”Idol” judge’s insane list of demands. If I were to put it in two words, I would say -Private - Jet.

As it’s confirmed that Abdul will not be appearing on Dancing With The Stars either as a contestant or a judge, so you can be sure that she won’t be seen on ABC anytime soon.

When I first read about ABC talks with Abdul about her guest appearance in Ugly Betty my first thoughts were, at least one party is not serious about it. Frankly guys, these talks with ABC were nothing more than a negotiation ploy at least to me. Abdul’s heart is still in American Idol and she wishes to return to the reality show, albeit on her own terms.

Anyways, Abdul’s loss is Johnston’s gain. She is very excited about her role on the popular series Ugly Betty and looking forward to it.

“I’ve always considered myself a poor man’s Paula Abdul,” Johnston says with a laugh. She describes her Betty character as “Amanda in 10 years. She’s still trying to get into the right clubs, wearing tight dresses… tragic. I think (Helen) sees herself as Samantha from ‘Sex and the City.’ Except, of course, she’s a temp.”

Johnston will first appear in the second half of “Ugly Betty’s” two-hour premiere on October 9.

So Ugly Betty Tv Show is back after the mid season break and as we enjoy the latest episodes of the comedy show, let’s take a sneak peak at what the stars of the show are doing in their free time on the sets. Well according to Eric Mabius, who plays the role of Daniel Meade on the show, the sets of the show have turned into a huge playground. Now if you are wondering what he means by that let me explain. It is by sheer coincidence that many of the cast members including Eric himself, have recently had or are expecting babies. So according to Eric, the entire cast assembles around Vanessa Williams whom we know as Wilhelmina Slater on the show, for parenting advice.

Vanessa has many kids of different ages and as such the cast looks up to her as a den mother. She also provides inspiration to her co-stars who seek her guidance in balancing family and career. According to Eric’s wife, interior designer Ivy Sherman, Vanessa likes to talk about babies and she has good advice when it comes to being organic. According to reports the actress has friends in various cool baby-related companies, with whose help she can guide her new parents and expecting co-stars. In addition she might also be falling back on her own parenting experiences.

It seems that the cast of Ugly Betty is behaving like a perfect family behind the cameras. Now that sounds nice as their cordial relation will ensure that we get to see quality performance on the show. And with the show just a few signatures short of being revived for the season 4, I am sure that the cast would like to keep on a harmonious atmosphere on the sets. When ‘Ugly Betty’ would return with new episodes this January, we will be introduced to a new character. And, the one who’ll portray this role is Lauren Velez, aka Lt. Maria Laguerta on Showtime drama ‘Dexter’. As per the latest statements given by the series representatives, Lauren Velez would portray Elena, a nurse that would enter the lives of the Suarez family and much to our surprise; she will also be involved in a deadly plot involving the death of one of the major characters of the series. She’ll have a multi episode arc. It’d be sizzling to watch Dexter fame Lauren Velez as a nurse on ‘Ugly Betty’ and I am surely waiting to see how brilliantly she performs on the show while keeping her previous performances (OZ, New York Undercover, Law & Order and Numb3rs), in mind.

What I am trying to find out now is what would lead her to meet to Betty and rest of her family and how she’ll be introduced in a well going story. Another point which strikes my mind is whom she’ll be nursing to. And, the most important issue is which characters would be written in the upcoming episodes of the show.

News is also here that Daniel Eric Gold would appear as Matt, Betty’s new love interest. His characteristics would match the features of Betty’s former love, Henry. He’s supposed to be smart, socially awkward, and cute and would be holding a secret whose revelation would surely affect Betty’s life.

Next episode of ‘Ugly Betty’ would be premiered on January 8, 2009 and is entitled ‘Dress for Success’. In this episode, we’ll see that Betty would find it hard to impress her idol, an editor at YETI named Jodie Papadakis. She’d also have a devastating confrontation with an assistant at ELLE magazine.
