Yeah… we will see Ugly Betty fame America Ferrara very soon on big screen. The lady will star in an upcoming project named ‘American Tragic’ along with Melissa Leo. Most probably, shooting will begin in the beginning of February, 2009. This is really not enough so much to your surprise, she’ll also exec produce the movie.

Well, those who loved her in ‘Ugly Betty’ will surely like to see her opposite a newcomer Ryan O’ Nan. He’s a young war veteran struggling to find redemption. Our heartthrob, America will play his wife whereas Melissa Leo is set to play his mother. America was also seen in a lead role in the recent movie ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ but this is the first movie where she’ll be also seen behind the scenes. Well, I am pretty excited to watch her but unluckily, I’ll have to wait till the mid of 2009.

Sometimes I think that Ferrara has also done in her real life what she portrayed on ‘Ugly Betty’. On series, she appears as a girl who’s not very beautiful but is very intelligent. She combats the beautiful fishes of the sea of beauty with her intelligence and proves herself the Ms. Perfect. Same is here in her real life. She’s not very good-looking but still she has made a very secure place for herself in the entertainment world. The lady has attracted the stares of everyone and the whole credit of ‘Ugly Betty’s success goes to her.

As of now, ‘Ugly Betty’ is running with third successful season. Recent episode entitled ‘When Betty Met YETI’ was aired on November 20, 2008. Next episode will be aired on December 4, 08 and will be entitled ‘Bad Amanda’. Get ready to catch it.

Until you are living at mars, you must know America Ferrera of Ugly Betty, who is just so cute. Well media praises her lot, calling her the woman with the real curves. On the other hand, many people are of the opinion that she can’t be called gorgeous but only cute. Whatever they say the truth is she is in the list of Top hundred sexiest women of America. Many people must be jealous of her success. But it’s her talent man, which can’t get affected by her looks.

There are numerous guys who find her hot, take a look of her fan site. I laughed at her quote over there. She teases her fans saying that it’s hilarious that people call Jessica Alba or Eva Longoria, curvy, but they are small and she is curvy. Lolz. Hey don’t take it as her arrogant comment. She is like this only. She’s spontaneous and outspoken and doesn’t even hesitate in sharing her most embarrassing moments with her fans.

Recently she made an appearance on Rachel Ray’s talk show. There she made everybody laugh by telling about her back stage experience in Emmy awards function. She was wearing a designer gown along with a bustle underneath to make it fluffy. After waiting for a while in backstage, when she stood up it slipped out along with the skirt. Now Julia Louis- Dreyfus and Catherine Keener ran forward for her help and they mentored it with a safety pin. On the show she met some other real life Ugly Betties as she is an inspiration for them.

She’s a sober at heart kinda personality and I suppose her natural humor adds to her beauty. I must say that in season three, she’s really looking gorgeous. At last she has taken the most confusing decision of her life. She neither accepted Gio’s Rome date nor Henry’s proposal of marriage. She realizes that she is not yet ready to marry and she must have some other goals in life. I am impressed of her decision. Life is like this only. In last aired episode, she apologizes to Gio about her decision, but he is just reluctant. So let see what happens next.

While Ugly Betty is off screen and is in production, I have no choice but to look for some latest updates on Ugly Betty’s upcoming season. You know there are two sections of the Ugly Betty that are my most favorite. One section contains the initial episodes of Ugly Betty, where she gets a new job and unattractive aspects of her personality are highlighted. Then gradually she makes her place a place for herself in her workplace and the lovable personality of Betty is slowly revealed to the audiences. She is intelligent and smart. Beautiful ladies around her prove to be dumb compared to her. She impresses everybody with her intellect and even her worst critics are forced to acknowledge her brains and ignore her looks.

The other favorite section of mine includes those episodes where she falls in love with Henry after breaking up with Walter. Though Henry’s girl friend spoils the scene with the news of pregnancy at the moment when both were having a romantic dinner out there. Both are left heart broken but still continue their relationship.

Anyways, I would like to share what I read about Henry on Buddy TV a few days back. Christopher Gorham playing Henry Grubstick is going to join new series named ‘Harper’s Island’ and he won’t be part of Ugly Betty show anymore. Well I just wish him good luck. Now, you must be wondering what would happen to Betty’s love affair with Henry when he is absent from the show.

Well, Betty is going to get a new love interest in the coming season since creators of the show won’t leave her alone sobbing in her bedroom. Her new love interest will be Val Emmich. Do you know him? Off course you know him, he’s a Pop singer and has once rocked the 30 Rock by his guest appearance and now will rock Betty’s life. Cool. Till then let’s enjoy Ugly Betty’s episodes and have a last look of Henry and Betty’s romance.

Hey buddies! Do you know ladies in the Ugly Betty have charmed the Emmy’s jury completely? There are three ladies from the show in the list of nominees. No other show has bagged as many places in the nomination list, especially in the field of acting. Well, the most obvious name from the show is, America Ferrera, who has bagged the nomination for Best lead actress in a comedy series. Now you must be wondering about the other two names. Guys, those two are Judith Light (Clair Meade) and Vanessa Williams (Wilhelmina Slater). Yeah, I know many are surprised but I am sure many others must be expecting these names on the list.

Well I suppose America Ferrera is the most popular name in the list as she had won the same title in 2007 too. I think this year too she has a good chance to win as other nominees don’t have as strong and well defined characters as hers. I wish her luck, as Ugly Betty is my favorite character, as it is very close to real life. I like intelligent and talented Betty who gives inferiority complex to the other beautiful women around her.

On the other hand, Vanessa too deserves the crown as she plays the gray shaded character very effectively. Her cunning moves and her aspirations are expressed deftly by her facial expressions and it could be the reason that she caught the Jury’s attention and got a place in the nominations list.

The other name Judith Light came as a surprise to me, but after I downloaded the episodes of Ugly Betty and gave a close look to her character then it became apparent to met that she really deserves the nomination because there was not much scope of showing her talent in her role as a mother of Daniel but her amazing work made her noticeable in the show.

But since she is competing with another member of the same show, as Judith and Vanessa, both have been nominated as best supporting actresses in Comedy, her chances to win a Emmy seems remote to me.

Ugly Betty, a comedy drama throws light on the life of Betty Suarez, an intelligent, sweet, hard working and talented young girl. Betty is very ambitious girl and her only dream is to shine in the publishing business. Betty Suarez goes into the world of high fashion where figure is everything and wafer -thin beauties are successful. The only problem with Betty is that she is not thin and is not a good looking young woman. But the destiny favors her at every step.

Betty is hired by publisher Bradford Meade as assistant to his son Daniel, the new editor of the high-fashion “Mode” magazine. The reason he comes up with is that Betty is the only girl whom Daniel (His son) would never sleep with. With her hard work and determination, Betty earns Daniel’s heart as she helps him get out of many difficult situations.

Betty has a strong support system which includes her father Ignacio, her sister, Hilda, her fellow employee and friend Christina. The series is actually based on Colombian telenovela “Yo Soy Betty La Fea (I am ugly Betty)” and has been already made into successful TV serials in Russia, Mexico, Germany and India
